Cross Hills Naturalists' Society Cross Hills Naturalists' Society was formed in 1904 by seventeen gentlemen of Cross Hills and the surrounding villages in the Aire valley to hold regular meetings and enjoy excursions into the local countryside, with an aim to improve their knowledge of Natural History.
