Hecky thump, at first glance I thought it was Clark Gable stood in the centre, on checking the names it’s thee Denis!
Interesting snap with 4 of my relies in the one shot. Mrs Monkhouse to the left is Sarah (nee Watkinson) Monkhouse who died in 2004 aged 96 (born 14th July 1908). Her 3 children feature in the picture, Jim, Betty & Ivan (deceased 2007)
Sarah originated from Keighley and married my dads eldest brother Bill Monkhouse on 6th August 1931 |

Hey Andrew, I was surprised to see my Dad Donald in the cast and not Uncle Gordon. I remember many of the cast especially the younger ones. |

OK David - if your memory is so good, can you fill in some of the missing names? I'm pretty sure that one or two of the adults lived on Crag View very close to you if not next door. |

How nice to see my family - I see the acting and singing runs in the blood....My Grandfather (Frank Barrett) my Grandmother (Mary Barrett) My uncle (Michael Barrett) My Great Uncle and his two sons (Alan, Robert and John) - plus many more that I know there - Thanks for posting it on the site - - I have often heard of the shows etc... that used to be performed at the Baptist Chapel. I know they were very Happy Times! |
