The DRAG scheme is run by the Volunteer Centre Craven, which is a registered charity, based at 26 Otley St, Skipton. If you can do at least one of the following why not become a volunteer and help your community: Decoration, Repair (And) Gardening. You don’t even have to be professional, but you will have to have a reasonable amount of skill in the area you wish to help with. You will be required to complete a CRB check, but once this is done you can assist people who can’t manage tasks for themselves; this could be because they are elderly, sick, disabled or disadvantaged in any other way. Volunteers would have to give their time freely but will be reimbursed for any out-of-pocket expenses incurred.
